This year marks the 9th anniversary of the Cyber Threat Alliance (CTA) — a milestone that highlights nearly a decade of collaboration, trust, and shared commitment across the cybersecurity industry. At ReversingLabs, we are proud to celebrate this moment alongside fellow CTA members who believe that collective defense is essential to protecting the global digital ecosystem.
CTA was founded on a simple but powerful idea: that no single organization, regardless of size or expertise, can see the full threat landscape alone. By enabling trusted, near real-time sharing of high-quality threat intelligence, CTA set out to disrupt adversaries faster and more effectively than isolated efforts ever could. Nine years later, that founding vision has proven not only relevant, but indispensable.
Over the years, CTA has evolved from an ambitious concept into a mature alliance that plays a critical role in how threat intelligence is shared and operationalized. Its “contribute-to-receive” model has fostered a culture of accountability and trust, ensuring that intelligence shared among members is both timely and actionable. This approach has helped raise the bar for collaboration across the cybersecurity community, demonstrating that sharing does not weaken competitive advantage — it strengthens collective resilience.

Our work depends on understanding threats at scale — across files, binaries, packages, and ecosystems — and collaboration is central to that understanding.
