Expanding member base supports CTA mission to improve cybersecurity for all

WASHINGTON, November 16, 2020 — Cyber Threat Alliance (CTA), a nonprofit organization working to improve the cybersecurity of the global digital ecosystem, today announced two new member companies.
Anomali and OneFirewall have become part of CTA, bringing CTA’s membership to 28 companies from across the cybersecurity industry and expanding its global reach. These companies have come together to share timely, actionable, and contextualized threat information and enable improved defenses against advanced cyber adversaries.
“I am pleased that Anomali and OneFirewall have joined CTA,” said Michael Daniel, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CTA. “Both companies will bring their unique perspectives and data sources to the Alliance, further expanding and diversifying the information shared within CTA. We look forward to working with both companies to better protect our digital ecosystem.”
“Today’s cyberattacks strike fast, steal data immediately, and remain undetected for months at a time. When the industry comes together, collective defenses are strengthened and risks are reduced,” said John Callon, Anomali VP of Solutions and Partner Marketing. “We’re pleased to join the CTA and are looking forward to working together to develop better and faster ways to broaden threat visibility, detection and response for all member organizations.”
“At OneFirewall we strongly support and promote cooperation and sharing of threat-related information,” says Gabriele Ruzzu, OneFirewall CEO. “CTA’s mission is critical and it led the way; today, sharing threat intelligence is gradually becoming a component in information security defense. Industry experts, public and private organizations must work together to better navigate cybersecurity landscape and therefore detect and prevent breaches more effectively, enhance the timeline of incident response and employ human resources more strategically. Consolidating this paradigm will result in a great benefit for every organization and every nation. OneFirewall is pleased to be part of the change while better protecting its clients.”
Added Sotiraki Sima, OneFirewall Special Advisor, “Assembling sensor and intrusion detection data to extract actionable information with the purpose of sharing it with members significantly improves real-time resilience and adds an additional vital shield to protect the perimeter. Real time cyberthreat information exchange is a key tool when competing with criminal associations all over the world.”
Cyberspace is growing rapidly, increasing the available attack surface for malicious actors to wreak havoc and exploit vulnerabilities. Sharing information between cybersecurity companies – at machine-speed, as well as through coordinated disruption activities and vulnerability disclosures, and during significant cyber incidents – helps provide visibility and generate insights about malicious activities and behavior patterns in order to better understand our adversaries’ goals and tactics. CTA members protect customers across all continents and critical infrastructure sectors, and these new companies will help expand the information available to CTA members by generating new avenues of data, as well as further expanding our global footprint.
